About James Blunt
British singer songwriter James Blunt is launching his first ever headlining US tour March 13th in Washington, D.C. The twenty gig tour is in support of his top selling debut album Back to Bedlam. James Blunt was formerly a military captain, he was the leader of 30.000 peacekeeping troops, but he left his post in the army in 2002 to concentrate on music full-time. Whilst he was initially nervous about this, the gamble seems to have paid off, spawning a collaboration with producer Tom Rothrock (Beck, Elliott Smith, Badly Drawn Boy), an album released by Custard Records (Christina Aguilera, Pink) and a series of sold out shows across the UK and Europe. Indiepoppers The Boy Least Likely To will support on all of Blunts upcoming dates, with electronic duo Sierra Swan signed on for a secondary support slot starting with the March 23 show in Lakewood, OH.
